These terms and conditions combined constitute the entire agreement between you and reciplocation.com. By joining reciplocation’s membership, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
From time to time, it may be pertinent for reciplocation to change these terms and conditions, and we reserve the right to do so. By applying for membership, you are indicating that you have read, and fully understood these terms and conditions.
We also ask that you check these pages periodically to note any changes, and that if you do not agree with any of our terms and conditions, then you stop using our website forthwith.
Ownership
Reciplocation.com is owned and operated by The Home Swap Exchange Ltd, Unit 1/A, 3 U Lam Terrace, Central Hong Kong, registered company number 1328438 (Hong Kong).
Responsibility
Reciplocation.com acts solely as a medium for members to contact each other regarding asset exchange, and to share information that may be beneficial to others. Any transactions or agreements between members are solely their responsibility, and by becoming a member of reciplocation.com you agree to bear sole responsibility for your use of this website.
Reciplocation.com bears no responsibility for any accidents or damages from your use of this website, or from use of home/asset listings provided by our website, or from any negligence of other members or other people.
We rely on members’ honesty and virtue when dealing with one another, but we can not be held responsible for any acts of dishonesty occurring between members. It is solely the responsibility of one member to research another member’s feedback comments and credibility before letting them stay in their home.
Reciplocation provides feedback to members, to assist them in making wise decisions on who to let use their assets. This feedback is designed to provide an extra degree of protection for current members.
Reciplocation does not guarantee the accuracy of any information placed by members on our website. Again, we provide a feedback mechanism for members to have access to information regarding other members and their assets, and a guide for members to list their assets at an accurate rate.
Liability
Reciplocation.com acts solely as a medium for members to contact each other regarding home exchange, and to share information that may be beneficial to others.
By joining reciplocation’s membership, you agree that reciplocation have no liability for any direct or indirect injury or damages arising in connection with your use of this website, including injury suffered at any listed property or by using any listed asset, or at the hands of, or by the negligence of another member or other person. You also agree that reciplocation bears no liability to any damages to your property, and that it is your responsibility to check on member’s details before allowing them to use your assets. We provide a feedback mechanism to assist you in doing this.
Further, by joining reciplocation’s membership, you agree that reciplocation shall not be liable for any losses, punitive, incidental or consequential damages or any claim against reciprocation by any other party.
Finally, by joining our membership, you agree to indemnify The Home Swap Exchange’s directors, shareholders and employees from any injury or damage suffered directly or indirectly as a result of using our website.
Membership For the purposes of this paragraph, account balances are equivalent to USD.
Expenses are defined as all transfer, exchange rate, banking or other fees associated with transferring money into or out of your reciplocation account. For example, if reciplocation paid money to a member with an account balance of $1000 points, the actual $USD amount may be less than this due to banking, reciplocation and exchange rate fees. Conversely, a member wishing to purchase $1000 points may need to pay more than this in $USD due to expenses.
Fees By joining reciplocation.com you agree to pay all applicable fees related to the transfer of money into or out of your reciplocation account. Fees will be charged on the date money is transferred either to or from your account. No refunds will be paid after this date, unless reciplocation.com. is solely at fault, in which case we will gladly refund your fee.
a/ Termination by Reciprocation
Reciplocation.com reserves the right to revoke any membership at any time, due to, but not limited by, any of the following: dishonesty; theft; gratuitous inaccuracy; disrespect to other’s property; or defamation of our company or another member. A full refund (less applicable fees) will be paid by reciplocation in the case of terminating a membership.
b/ Termination by Members
Members may terminate membership at any time. We are sorry to see you go, and ask that you let us know your reasons for leaving so we can improve our service for others. A full refund of your account balance (less applicable fees) will be paid to terminating members by reciplocation.
Privacy and Intellectual Property Rights
Any information (including photographs) listed on reciprocation.com becomes the property of reciprocation and may be used for promotional purposes.
Inquiries addressed from one member to another may be monitored by reciplocation. While every attempt is made to guard against SPAM, we can not guarantee SPAM will not infiltrate our internal emailing system, nor can we guarantee that every internal email will be delivered.
Members may not use any content from this site for any solicitations, or for any commercial use. Nor may members take any data from this website for any other use whatsoever. Any attempt to email members of this website directly except when invited by that member, may cause the offender to be expelled from our membership.
Reciplocation reserves the right to alter information by members to guard against vulgar or obscene messages.
Copying any part of this website is strictly forbidden unless permission is given by the management of reciplocation.
In the event The Home Swap Exchange Ltd sells reciplocation.com, members will be advised, and may chose to terminate their membership if they so wish.
Rules for Members
Section 1: Conduct
By applying for membership of reciplocation you agree to:
1. Treat other people’s property with respect and to treat it as you would your own;
2. Leave your home or asset neat and tidy for visitors, and leave any homes or assets you stay in or use neat and tidy;
3. Be accurate in any information you provide to other members;
4. Notify the owner of any damage to their property, and come to an agreement about replacement. Ultimately, you accept responsibility for replacing anything broken;
5. Honour your word regarding agreements made with other members;
6. Carry out research regarding people using your assets, and accept that ultimate responsibility of who uses them rests with you;
7. Act in an honest way, and not deceive or steal from any other member;
8. Have applicable small fees deducted from your account by reciplocation.com whenever you transfer money to or from your account.
9. Pay applicable paypal, banking or exchange rate fees when transferring money to or from your reciplocation account;
Rules for members who wish to leave our membership:
Firstly, we are sorry to see you go. Please let us know your reasons for leaving us, and we will do our best to rectify any problems if the fault lies with us.
Reciplocation.com will pay you your account balance in equivalent $USD. By becoming a member of reciplocation.com you agree:
10. That all account transfer fees, exchange rate and banking transfer fees, be paid by you when settling an account balance.
