Secondly, how does the site work for you? Well, to start with, you join the same as anyone else. When it comes to listing your company, there are multiple options to choose from to describe your product (safari, beach resort, B&B etc). If an option is not listed that suits you, simply let us know and we will get it sorted out.
When members use your product, reciplocation points will be transferred into your reciplocation account. You can withdraw these points and redeem them for cash at any time. We charge a fixed rate of 10 points ($10USD) for when you redeem points for cash.
You can also set what deposit rate you would like, and also when you would like the deposit and balance of points transferred into your account. This ensures you are covered in the event of a cancellation.
So it's business as usual for you, but you just get paid slightly differently.
Lastly, most tourist businesses need to pay commission to agents to promote their product for them. In this instance reciplocation.com is acting as your agent, and we don't want any commission. Rather, we ask you to deduct the commission rate from your usual retail price - so that our members get the best possible rate for your product. You still get the same net amount, but because there is no longer a middleman, our members get a discounted rate.
If you do not pay a commission, then please try to offer a discount to our members. These are clients you did not have before you joined, so any money gained over and above your costs is profit you would not have had previously. How about taking a little less and giving our members a discount?
